Tori Trades Trendline Strategy

Verified4HRecommended Channel

A 4-hour trend-reversal method: wait for a clean, well-tapped descending trendline to break with a candle close, enter on the next open, protect the trade on a supporting safety trendline, and take profit at twice the risk.

Step by step, exactly as executed

1

Timeframe

2

Setup / filter

no separate filter — the entry rule is the whole setup

3

Entry

candle closes past a resistance trendline with 3+ taps at least 6 candles apart, spanning 126+ candles (tap tolerance 0.15%), one attempt per line → market at the next candle open

4

Stop

safety trendline through the last two confirmed pivot lows, measured 4 candles after the fill (fallback: lowest low of the last 20 candles)

5

Target / exit

Target: 2R (R = entry-to-stop distance)

6

Risk

1% of equity risked to the stop

1

Timeframe

4 hour.

2

A+ trendline validity

3 or more taps (a 2-tap line is accepted but weaker), at least 6 candles between taps, the line covers more than 3 weeks of price data, slope below 45 degrees with roughly 3 months on the chart, drawn to catch the most taps.

3

Entry

a 4 hour candle CLOSES past the A+ trendline (a break, a potential change of trend) — long when a descending resistance trendline is broken upward. Enter at market on that close (executed at the next candle open).

4

Stop loss

on the supporting safety trendline, at the level the 4th candle after the break would hit that line.

5

Take profit

the nearest horizontal support/resistance that gives 2R or more. One attempt per trendline.

What this test cannot reproduce

Her shorts (a rising support trendline broken downward) cannot be executed on Spot, so only the long side is tested.

Her instruments are XPTUSD, WTI, XAUUSD and US30 on 4H; this test runs on the crypto pair you named, which behaves differently.

"Nearest horizontal support/resistance giving 2R or more" is approximated as a fixed 2R target.

The safety trendline is the line through the last two confirmed pivot lows; when those lows are not rising, the lowest low of the last 20 candles is used instead.

Trendline drawing is mechanical (confirmed 3-bar pivots, tap tolerance 0.15%), not hand-drawn, so individual lines can differ from hers.
